This project is a great example of a website that has evolved as the business developed. More than 10 years ago, we first worked with Vanessa to start the Juniper & Rose Kitchen School, offering a variety of cookery courses including Sourdough. After a few years, Vanessa decided to specialise and launched The Sourdough School and we migrated the original website to the domain sourdough.co.uk. The school offered courses to newbies to professional bakers.
A couple of years ago Vanessa teamed up to develop The Sourdough Club – online training for people who want to learn how to bake Sourdough, with beautiful instructional videos and detailed recipes.
This means the School can now specialise in offering more Diplomas in the nutrition and digestibility of bread for professional bakers.
The Sourdough School and Club websites are designed by Vanessa. We work closely together to deliver Vanessa’s vision for the websites.
Both websites have complex functionality for the sale of in-person courses, subscriptions to the club, access to the club content, selling products, glossary, ingredients directory, discount coupons, application forms, and more.
With an editorial team, we implemented processes to ensure that each article gets fully written and reviewed. We have also developed complex layout templates for recipes so that the editorial team does not need to worry about layout and styling, and can focus on getting the information to the page.
We have worked with Vanessa for over a decade as her business evolves and grows. Keeping pace with Vanessa’s entrepreneurial drive and spirit has often kept us on our toes!
Vanessa has further plans to develop her business and these will undoubtedly mean more work to the existing websites and maybe even more websites! We look forward to working with Vanessa for another decade.
