Lawrence House Museum
Go-Pro Package & brand design
Having secured funding through the South West Museum Development fund, Lawrence House Museum was looking for a new brand identity and WordPress website to replace their old static HTML website that was outdated and difficult to maintain.
The website needed to have a clean look and feel incorporating their new logo and brand assets as well as showcasing their varied collections, events, and extensive local history. They also needed a selection of printable signage and poster templates for museum promotions.
Working with the curator of Lawrence House Museum we started the brand discovery phase by developing a design brief.
Through an iterative process, Lawrence House Museum choose a modern, clean, and vibrant logo using their initials ‘LHM’ as a framework for the design.
We packaged up the logo and all brand assets, along with a brand style guidelines document and museum signage templates. The package also included social media cover and profile images, as well as an e-marketing campaign template.
Once the branding phase was complete we then began work on the website discovery.
We audited the existing website content which enabled us to create a simplified website structure for an improved user experience. We then designed a new sitemap, wireframes, content list, and colour mockups.
We created forms to register volunteer interest, to join the museum’s annual membership, to receive newsletters, and for the purchase of monographs and other publications.
The old museum website did not facilitate online donations, so we set up a form to collect donations and Gift Aid.
We also included custom post types for the events that Lawrence House Museum wanted to promote.
Happy Customer
Lawrence House Museum is a volunteer led local history museum in North Cornwall. At the beginning of the pandemic the museum desperately needed to overhaul its online presence, rebrand and join the 21st century! We were fortunate to receive a recovery grant from South West Museum Development and engaged Jo to build a new website and Leeann to rebrand the organisation. Leeann effectively managed the differing opinions on designs with great understanding and created a brand which pleased everyone – no easy task! The site build itself was exceptionally fluid and well managed with careful consideration of our needs. The volunteers ability to update and navigate the site easily was of great importance and Jo provided us with excellent training in its use. In short the team at Callia Web were a pleasure to work with and we would recommend them without hesitation.
