The SMS Foundation UK
go-pro Package & brand design
The Smith-Magenis Syndrome (SMS) Foundation UK is a national charity that supports families and professionals living with the syndrome. They have had a WordPress website since 2014, which has grown with the charity. Callia Web has supported the SMS Foundation throughout its online journey, overseeing design iterations as well as complex solutions including a shop.
We shaped a rebrand for the SMS Foundation UK in 2017. We created a new logo with a story supporting the design and provided branding guidelines and toolkits for a variety of platforms and different types of media.
We designed and sourced a range of printed media including roller banners, leaflets, brochures, personalised merchandise, and clothing.
We have also created a range of digital assets including videos, social media banners, and e-marketing templates.
The video ‘Smith-Magenis Syndrome Through Our Logo’ was created to explain the syndrome using the story behind the design of the logo.
The SMS Foundation needed to get their shop online quickly during the 2020 pandemic to bring an income stream into the charity. We developed a shop for them using the WooCommerce plugin.
The SMS Foundation website has been built using the WordPress block editor and Genesis Framework, allowing powerful flexibility and integration with a range of digital solutions. Other features of this website include custom post types for a ‘Spotlight’ series of health and well-being articles.
Callia Web continues to work closely with the SMS Foundation supporting them with further iterations and new digital solutions for their website.
